Bubble Mania

Man, you can get some serious bubble-age going when you pour half a bottle of bubble bath into this tub
AND turn on the jets!

I guess I should have been more careful and monitored how much they put in.

It took forever to get all the bubbles out.

But look how modest everyone is. :)
No worries.

BYU art museum with Cousins

We went to the BYU art museum to see the Walter Wick exhibit. It was really cool.

He's the guy who does all the pictures in the "I Spy" books.

They had prints from the books and a few displays of the sets he made to photograph. They were really amazing. Especially his optical illusion pictures. While they look a lot like an M.C. Escher picture, his are actual photographs, unmanipulated with either special effects or computers...or anything. Erin bought that book, I think. Anyway, we had a great time. Alas, pictures weren't allowed, so this is all we got.

And then....

The BEST Hamburgers and Fries

My new favorite Hamburger/Fries place...

Five Guys Burgers and Fries
If you don't have one near you, I'm sorry.
Actually, I don't have one that near me. This one's in Sandy.
They are better than In-N-Out Burger.
Kind of funny that In-N-Out is just getting to Utah right when these Guys (five guys) are on the scene.

The fries...
They are the best.

I'm getting fatter just remembering them. And they give you a TON.
Wish I had a picture, but they have all these bags of Potatoes out front in the dining room, the actual potatoes they are using that day, and a sign on the wall that tells you where the potatoes are from.

The Boys' table.

Winner for Cutest Couple:
Daniel and Ivy, of course!

Posting Late is Better than Never

Just before moving into our house, we visited Gardener Village, which I'm sure is much prettier now, in the spring time. But here we are with Uncle Ethan.

Owen and Dad.

Struttin' his STUFF.

Who needs a table?

We didn't move our table with the first load of junk from the storage unit.
We just didn't fit everything and for some reason in the rush and exhaustion after moving so much stuff into the big truck,

the table was considered unimportant.

You don't realize how important a table is until you don't have one.

So for a couple of weeks, we ate standing up.

Except for Garrett and Owen.

They fit perfectly in the pantry.

Aaaa...who needs a talbe?

Beautiful Spring

We found a fun park next to the Layton Library, with a stream and ducks and a playground. The tulips are so pretty. I need to plant these at my house.

What flower do you where all year round?

Tulips (two lips)! Ha Ha Ha...

That's a Laffy Taffy joke.

Skinners In Utah....Layton, Utah

Okay. We are here...and we've been here since about April 3rd, but it took a while to get the internet and to get settled (still aren't in many ways) and we are LOVING being in our own house again.

Now I have no more excuses...I've been using the excuse of being homeless and unsettled for all sorts of things. For not losing weight, worse yet for gaining weight. UG! For not blogging. For not getting out those thank you notes to all you people who deserve them and are waiting for them...for neglecting ever so many other things. No more excuses now, cuz we're HERE!!
Of course, I can think of lots of new excuses for not doing all the stuff I need to do. (Like getting those lazy kids up and doing some school work!)

We are doing well. Love our house and I know I need to post some pictures of it. But that's one more thing I've been excusing myself from...taking pictures. That's INEXCUSABLE though, isn't it? This is the time I should have the camera around my neck at all times.

Forgive me.

Since we've lived here, we've had my mom and dad visit for a little over a week, Ethan for a night or two... we've had Leah and Matt and the kids visit (got to babysit her 3 boys) and we've had a few friends come. It's been so nice to be the visitED, not the visitOR. Come one, come all!
