The Air Show

The air show at Hill Air Force Base was just a mile up the street from us.

We had a pretty good view of the air show from our front yard. The really cool parts were when the Thunderbirds flew near the end of the show. Here they are information and doing some tricks. All day there were different kinds of planes flying over the house. But these were most exciting.

The best seats... (short of going on the roof like some of our neighbors did. We Skinners are too whimpy for that. YIKES! Maybe in a couple years at the next show.)

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

Friday we went to the open house for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple in South Jordan, Utah. It was so beautiful inside.

Here's a picture of poor Moroni who was struck by Lightning a couple weeks ago. He has a black arm and chin from it. They will regild it soon. A test of faith for the kids who wondered why Heavenly Father would strike his own temple!! :) I told them He was just saying hello and good job.

This is the Place

We could have spent even longer than the four hours we spent at This is the Place Historical Park. There is really a lot of stuff to do. It was sort of expensive, but there's plenty to do.

I wanted to bring some color into the kitchen.
I'm too scared to paint the walls so far....not to mention indecisive.
It's too open to the rest of the house.
Anyway, I thought I'd add color on the bar stools. But again, couldn't decide what color.
So I did 4 different ones.
Aren't they cute?
They only look good in this order though. :) No, really. I'm particular about the order. For some reason, this it the order they look best. Owen's it the red one. It's closest to his favorite color, pink.

School

Owen loves school.

He'll sit there for a couple hours sometimes, coloring, drawing, and making letter sounds (not really coordinating with the letters or anything) and counting (not always in order). He's really into it though.


At least someone likes school.

Who NEEDS a table? Part 2

Yet another nifty alternative to a kitchen table. Again, I ask you...who needs a table?

Honestly?

We did! I hated not having a kitchen table. Just try going without one for 2 weeks and you'll realize how much you actually use this piece of furniture! We may have our old yucky one still, but at least we have one! Love it.
