Yeah. It's not all Disney. Well, I guess it might be for Daniel. This is what the kids and I did today....while Daniel was going to see "Wall-E" with a free ticket from his big boss. But look how much fun we were having. :)

Daniel's "Job"
He likes it so far. And who wouldn't? He got to tour and then ride Dinosaur, Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom, then Soarin' Over California at Epcot, Rockin' Rollercoaster at Hollywood Studios, and Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom-- all today!! Yeah, you could say today was a fun day at "work." He has projects to do on the monorails , the Mark Twain and Liberty Belle (riverboats), and will have some on Test Track. (Daniel edit) His assignments are apparently not to be "published" anywhere but they're really not terribly exciting either(END edit). Maybe Daniel will read this blog entry and actually comment on it. AHEM!!!
What have WE been doing while poor Daniel has to go to work. A little swimming, a little too much Wii, and a LOT of arguing and bickering. I guess we've done other things, but today the bickering really stands out in my mind.

Downtown Disney
We went to Downtown Disney to satisfy some our our Disney anticipation for Daniel's new job. It was fun. They have the biggest Disney store there, as well as a huge Lego store and restaurants. The boys met a storm trooper! We rode the monorail around between resorts and a couple of the parks. Daniel thought it would be fun to see some of the parks out the window. It was pretty crowded and hot and we saw a lot of people and a lot of people's backsides as we sat crammed into the monorail cars. Ian was excited though cuz he and Daniel got to ride up front with the driver. I got some pretty cute pictures of the kids.

Pictures of Rainstorm
Confession
So, I am not a blogger. I guess the truth comes out. I was trying to look all smart and create a blog, and now it's out there for the whole world to see that I have no idea what I'm doing.
Let me know when you CAN read that last post. I went through and tried to fix it, but have no idea what I did to it in the process...besides deleting the pictures which I added back in. :)

We're Here!
We finally made it to Florida. It's HOT and HUMID!! We drove through Wyonming, Nebraska, tiny bit of Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, and then Florida. It was soooo beautiful driving here. And unfortunately because I was driving one of the cars the whole time I couldn't snap pictures out the window like I was wishing I could. I thought, it's sooo pretty, why do we live out west!! Then I watched the news AFTER driving through Nebraska, Iowa and Wyoming...we missed the tornados by only a couple days!! That's sort of scary.
We crossed so many pretty rivers. The Mississippi was brown and very high. The Tennessee and Ohio rivers were so big! It was a great adventure. Daniel drove in front with up to two kids and I followed in the Dodge Van with the rest. The kids only saw the beauty of the drive when I yelled at them to look out the window at how pretty it was. They watched a lot of movies on the way. That would have been a dream come true when I was a kid. I dreamed of having a tv in the car when Dad would drive aaaaallllll day on family vacations.
We stopped in St. Lewis, Missouri to see the Arch and ate lunch on the brow

n Mississippi river.
We were welcomed to Florida by a HUGE monsoon rainstorm, only 56 miles from our final destination! It was so bad we had to pull off to the side of the freeway and wait a while. We pulled back on, only to realize it was still really bad and got off at the next exit to wait some more. About a half hour later, we were able to resume the trip. Anyway, we made it to our hotel safe and sound and celebrated our arrival by eating at Chili's (Thanks, McBrides for the gift certificate!!!). Did I mention Florida's HOT?
